Welcome to Knoxville, Illinois!

Terry Pool The citizens of Knoxville are proud of their heritage and have preserved their past while preparing the community for the 21st Century. The historical downtown area with buildings and homes from the 1800's co-exist with modern subdivisions and businesses. With a progressive local school district and nearby colleges, a family oriented park, a museum, and historical sites listed on the National Register, Knoxville has a "small town" atmosphere with all of the big city amenities only a short drive away.

Our mission is to preserve and enhance our rural quality of life through growth and well-planned economic development.
